This is Leslie Meredith. She is the woman who owns and runs Farmhouse School in Campton Hills. She’s absolutely lovely, kind and wonderful- everything you’d want from someone teaching cooking to adults and kids! I have had the pleasure of working with Leslie and I aim to bring light to her business at Farmhouse School.
She has worked so hard to produce beautiful gardens located on her property where she grows organic herbs, vegetables and fruit in which she sells at her farm stand on Thursdays from 3-6pm during the warmer months. She incorporates this goodness into her cooking classes and often times allows for kids to experience picking their own veggies for cooking class. Straight from farm to table!
Recently, I had a chance to see her in action as we documented her cooking class. Everyone who attended looked like they had a blast and got to make and taste some really awesome recipes. I can attest that they were delicious as I tried them myself!
There’s a lot of heart and soul Leslie puts into her classes but also she works tirelessly every day at the farm to produce quality fruits and vegetables for us locals to enjoy and savor. If you haven’t been to her farmstand, it is not to be missed! And, if you or your kids haven’t experienced taking a cooking class with her, be sure to put book a class soon! It is a wonderful and tasty experience not to be forgotten!!
